Braulio Aurelio Moyano was born in Villa Mercedes, San Luis Province, Aug. 21, 1906. He graduated as a doctor at the Medical School of the University of Buenos Aires in 1928. In 1930, he released a booklet with contributions the difficult staining neuroglia and later, in 1932, presented his doctoral thesis entitled "senile and presenile dementia." In 1939 he became head of the laboratory of the Hospicio de las Mercedes, and from 1946-1959 served as Chief of Psychiatric Service in the National Neuropsychiatric Hospital for Women, which now bears his name.
