Ryff, Peter
aus Basel 1552-1629, gest. an der Pest, ein entfernter Verwandter des bekannten Andreas, schloß seine in Basel absolvierten Studien 1584 mit dem Dr. med. ab, wurde 1586 Professor für Mathematik, 1590 Bibliothekar und 1616 ein zweites Mal Rektor. Er setzte die Chronik des Fridolin Ryff fort.
