Bio:

I am a passionate young neuroendocrinologist with substantial experience in in vivo basic research on various aspects of hypothalamic regulation of reproductive function, as well as a desire to discover effective, non-invasive treatments targeting neural pathways implicated in metabolic syndrome and obesity. I routinely employ optogenetic, neuropharmacological and imaging techniques to address functional relationships between hypothalamic neurons, their afferent inputs, and feeding behavior. Outside of the lab, I am an aspiring musician, currently leading an original post-funk band. However, my favourite pastime is to embark upon adventures in the wilder parts of the world, which I traverse preferentially by motorcycle.
