Bio:

Dr. Zhang is a board certified neurologist and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Neurology. She has a special interest in complementary and alternative medicine for the treatment of headache and facial pain. Her research interests include the use of acupuncture for the treatment of migraines and other headache disorders.

Dr. Zhang graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. She worked in the laboratory of Professor Dr. Elke Stein in the Department of Molecular, Cellular Developmental Biology for her undergraduate thesis on intracellular signaling of axonal guidance receptors. Subsequently, she attended New York University School of Medicine and completed neurology residency and a fellowship in headache and facial pain at Stanford University.
