Dr. Perlmutter is a neurologist and neuroscientist who specializes in clinical care and research in movement disorders. He authored several highly-cited early articles on positron emission tomography (PET) and has applied PET and MRI to studying Parkinson disease, dystonia, Huntington disease, and other movement disorders.
