Bio:

Dr. Michael Redley did his doctoral work at Cambridge in the 1970s, specialising in the colonial history of Kenya, and took a Masters Degree in Economics at the London School of Economics in the 1980s. He came to Oxford as Secretary to the Continuing Education Board in 2002 after a career in the Civil Service (Defence and Treasury) and in the regulation of radio and television. He has taught since then in the Department for Continuing Education at Oxford on various topics in the contemporary politics history of Britain – currently on Propaganda in the Twentieth Century. He is a member of the Council of the John Buchan Society, and has edited the Society’s Journal.
