We are testing a new system for linking grants to scientists.
The funding information displayed below comes from the
NIH Research Portfolio Online Reporting Tools and the
NSF Award Database.
The grant data on this page is limited to grants awarded in the United States and is thus partial. It can nonetheless be used to understand how funding patterns influence mentorship networks and vice-versa, which has deep implications on how research is done.

Arcss Land-Atmosphere-Ice Interactions (Laii) Science Management Office @ University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus
ABSTRACT OPP-9614135 WELLER, GUNTER UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA This is a project to support the Land-Atmosphere-Ice Interactions (LAII) Science Management Office (SMO) and Science Steering Committee (SSC). The SMO will support the activities of the LAII SSC (e.g. workshops, planning meetings, and coordination with international science projects), publish a newsletter, promote correspondence of LAII results at national meetings and between PIs, facilitate logistical arrangements, and promote integration of LAII activities with other components of the Arctic System Science (ARCSS) Program. The SSC will conduct planning meetings for future LAII research projects, appoint working groups to conduct workshops for development of science plans for new initiatives, and provide the ARCSS Program with an assessment on priorities for LAII global change initiatives/projects in the Arctic that are developed through the workshops.

Arctic System Science Land-Atmosphere-Ice Interactions Science Management Office @ University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus
The project facilitates operation of a Science Management Office (SMO) for the Land-Atmosphere-Ice Interactions (LAII) component of the Arctic System Science (ARCSS) Program. The SMO will facilitate planning and outreach activities that address LAII goals as described in a Science Plan written by the Science Steering Committee (SSC) and reviewed by the research community. The award supports continued planning by the LAII SSC, maintenance of a web page for outreach to both the scientific community and the public, publication of planning documents, and organizing annual All-Hands meetings. The SMO is an important activity to the planning and integration of interdisciplinary research projects addressing US Global Change Research Program goals in the Arctic.
