Bio:

Dr. Faedda is a clinical psychopharmacologist specializing in Mood and Psychotic Disorders and Developmental and Genetic Psychiatry. An MD from the University of Cagliari, he completed psychiatric training at McLean Hospital-Harvard Medical School, NYU and Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center-Department of Psychiatry, initially as a Fellow in Psychopharmacology, then Director of Research in Child Psychiatry. In 1991 he founded and directs the Lucio Bini Mood Disorders Center. A reviewer for the NIMH, psychiatric journals, and former Associate Editor for the Child, Adolescent and Developmental Psychiatry of BMC-Psychiatry, he is the Co-author of ‘Parenting a Bipolar Child’, a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a member of the Society for Biological Psychiatry, the European Bipolar Forum, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, International Society for Bipolar Disorder and Co-chaired its Taskforce on: ‘Prodromes of Bipolar Disorders’.
