1979 BSc(Hons)., Monash University. Majored in Psychology and Genetics. Graduated with first class honours in Psychology.

1982 PhD., Monash University, Department of Physiology. Thesis title: Ascending Projections to Subnuclei of the Medial Geniculate Body. Supervisors: Dr. Lindsay Aitkin (Physiology) and Dr. Bill Webster (Psychology).
