Jerome Pine received his Ph.D. in physics from Cornell University in 1956. He is Professor of Biophysics at Caltech, where he has been since 1963. His research is in studies of cultured neural networks and the development of instruments for non-invasive electrophysiology of neurons in culture. He is also involved in reform of K-12 and undergraduate science education.
