Bio:

Betty was a M.A. child clinical psychologist who did most of the testing for the child psychiatry research and clinical programs. She mentored Iowa Child Psychology grad students in their child psychiatry practica. She modeled the ability to combine warmth, precision, and flexibility, in working with autistic and psychotic kids; and the ability to interact with physicians with respect but appropriate assertiveness with regard to her own expertise.
