Bio:

Dr. Zhong-wei Zhang received his BSc from Peking University, China and PhD from the University of Strasbourg, France, where he worked with the late Paul Feltz studying the physiology of the pituitary gland. During a postdoctoral fellowship with Darwin Berg at University of California San Diego, he studied nicotinic receptor function in chick ciliary ganglion. He then joined the laboratory of Martin Deschenes at Laval University, Canada to study functional organization of corticothalamic pathways. He became an Assistant Professor at Laval University in 2000 where he studied the development of the prefrontal cortex. In 2006 he moved to The Jackson Laboratory as an Assistant Professor. His laboratory is studying the development and function of neuronal circuits in the mouse using a variety of experimental approaches.
