Dr. Lila Miller received the degree of Bachelor of Science in 1926 and the degree of Master of Science in 1927 from the University of Wisconsin. She received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan in 1936. From 1927 to 1928 Dr. Miller served as Instructor in Chemistry at the Mississippi State College for Women, Oxford, Miss., from 1928 to 1932 as Research Assistant in Nutrition at Battle Creek College and Sanitarium, Battle Creek, Mich. She was appointed Instructor in Biological Chemistry at the University of Michigan in 1932, and has had charge of the instruction for nurses. During 1936 and 1937 she studied at the Carlsberg Laboratories, Copenhagen, Denmark, on a Rackham postdoctoral fellowship.
