Bio:

Eunjoo Kang obtained her Ph.D. in Psychology in 1995 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, while working in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Gabriel. In her graduate studies she investigated interactions of the hippocampal formation with limbic cingulothalamic regions in relation to the contextual modulation of learning and memory. After obtaining her Ph.D., Dr. Kang carried out postdoctoral studies on the neural substrates of vision in the laboratory of Dr. Joseph Malpeli, University of Illinois. She then carried out further postdoctoral research on memory and cognition using fMRI imaging of brain substrates in human subjects in the laboratory of Dr. John Gabrieli at Stanford University. Subsequently she carried out research in Cognitive Neuroscience utilizing PET and fMRI at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. Dr. Kang is currently Associate Professor of Psychology at Kangwon National University, Chuncheon, Korea, where she is continuing her research into the brain substrates of learning and memory.
