Bio:

I bring skills in outcomes measurement, meta-analysis, and research methods with insights from my work in Southeast Asia.
On a personal note, I grew up in a four-generation household of practical and thoughtful people who were not afraid of new and better ideas. Surviving Ohio seasons on a small farm required work. Yet, there was always time for visitors to drop by and chat about current and historical news and offer opinions. Listening to adults exchange ideas was sustenance and warmth for my childhood.

Through my high school and college, innovative ideas attracted me most. Later, my PhD under a thought-leader in scientific methods taught me to think carefully about what we can expect and extract from data. For me, science is a toolbox from which we choose the right tool for the job at hand. Better tools are the ones that improve decisions and reduce errors.
