"Zhuohao He"Bio:
I have been trained as a neurobiologist since my graduate school at Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where I studies Ca2+ signaling pathways involved in neuronal physiological and pathological conditions. Since my postdoctoral training at University of Pennsylvania with Drs. Virginia Lee and John Trojanowski, I have learned neuropathy and autopsy, and have been more focused on Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and related neurodegenerative diseases from the view of misfolded proteins. I have developed several unique pathological-relevant AD mouse models, provided new insights on pathogenesis in multiple neurodegenerative diseases. Now I am leading an independent research group at IRCBC, CAS to continue the battle with such devastating diseases. My long term career goal is to develop diagnostic methods and therapeutic interventions for patients with early stages of AD and related diseases.
