Bio:

Maurizio Valle was born in Loano, Italy, in 1959.

He received the Master degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Genoa in 1985. Since 1985 he joined the Department of Biophysical and Electronic Engineering (DIBE - University of Genoa) working on VLSI systems design. In 1990 he received the Ph. D. degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Genoa (curriculum: Microelectronics). From 1990 to 1992 he worked at DIBE as post doc research assistant for research projects funded by MURST and CNR. In 1992 he became Assistant Professor. He is currently teaching four courses in Microelectronics and Industrial Electronics (Laurea and Laurea Specialistica degrees) in the curricula of Electronic Engineering and Management Engineering (University of Genova). His main research and scientific interests are in the areas of mixed mode microelectronic systems (in CMOS technology) for signal processing and ad hoc wireless sensors networks. Target applications are in the field of industrial quality control analysis, consumer appliances, sensors readout circuitry and telecommunication systems.
