Bio:

Daniel J. Shevock teaches at Penn State Altoona, where he served as Emerging Musical Artist in Residence in Jazz. Growing-up in a rural Pennsylvania town and teaching in urban public schools helped cultivate his awareness of the importance of creativity, social justice, and ecological consciousness. Dan musics on the vibraphone and drums. His scholarship in music education integrates ecological literacy, place-consciousness, improvisation, history, and philosophy.
