Helena Wladimirna Antipoff was born on March 25, 1892 in Grodno, Russia. She is the daughter of General Antipoff, director of the Military Academy, and Sofia Antipoff, a Greek teacher, with progressive ideas. D. Helena lived in Brazil for over 40 years, where she died on August 9, 1974, and is buried in the Canal cemetery, a place she chose and acquired for her eternal home, in Ibirité.
