Bio:

Dr. Zhang Yi received his B.Sc. degree in Mathematics from Sichuan Normal University, Chengdu, China, in 1983 and his MS. degree in Mathematics from Hebei Normal University in 1986. In December 1987, he was promoted Associate Professor in the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. From 1989 to 1990, he was a Senior Visiting Scholar in the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering in The University of Sheffield, England. In 1994, he received his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the Institute of Mathematics, The Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing, China. He was promoted full Professor in 1994 in the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China . From February 1999 to February 2000 and from August 2000 to August 2001, he was a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. From August 2001 to December 2002, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of Eelectrical and Computer Enigeering at The National University of Singapore. Currently, he is a professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
