Kaccie grew up in Shelton, WA, did his BA and BS in Math and Optics respectively in Rochester, and a PhD from UC Berkeley. Dr. Li joined Smart Vision Labs (SVL) in April 2015 as Principal Scientist after stints at Abbott Medical Optics and Brien Holden Vision. He was SVL's first Chief Scientist from 2017 to 2018 where he headed R&D, manufacturing, software, and QA. As of July 2017, he is Principal Vision Scientist at RxSight in Orange County, CA.
