Doctoral student with Russell L. De Valois at University of California, Berkeley, 1982-1989; Post-doc with Robert Shapley at New York University 1989-1993. Adjunct scientist at Central Institute for the Deaf (St. Louis, MO) where my post-doctoral fellow was Kevin K. Ohlemiller. Dr. Ohlemiller was Nobuo Suga's post-doc and obtained his neuroscience PhD at Northwestern University.
