Allan Gulledge received his bachelors degree at the University of California, Riverside in 1991 and a secondary science teaching credential in 1992. He attended graduate school in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio from 1995-2000 before doing postdoctoral research at the Australian National University (2000-2005) and the National Institutes of Physiological Sciences (Okazaki, Japan; 2005-2007). He joined the faculty at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in 2007.
