Completed graduation in zoology from Loyola College, Chennai in the year 1991. Passed post graduation in Human Anatomy (Faculty of Medicine), University of Madras with University First Rank in the year 1994. Registered for doctoral degree under the guidance of Dr.R.Muthusamy at Department of Anatomy, University of Madras and obtained Ph.D. (Faculty of Medicine) in Neuroanatomy/Neuroscience by the year 2000. Joined as Lecturer in 2000 and promoted as Lecturer (Senior Scale) from 2004. Completed his postdoctoral research studies under the guidance of Dr. Martin Grumet, Professor, Department of Cell Biology & Neuroscience, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA during the years 2006 to 2008. At present, serving as Head-in-Charge of the Department.
