Bio:

A fundamental feature of our behaviour is the ability to flexibly and efficiently prepare and specify our actions and responses in the constantly changing world. My current research focuses on how our brain and genetics transform our experiences into purposeful and efficient actions, as well as into affective functions and responses.

I am actively involved in the emerging field of Neuroimaging Genetics, which integrates brain activity and genetic profiles to promote understanding of human risk and resilience for affective problems. My PhD research completed in 2014 at the School of Psychology, University of Birmingham, unveiled the genetic and neural mechanisms that associated with developmental psychopathology in early childhood (e.g., Christou et al., 2016).
