RAIMI Morufu Olalekan (MNES, REHO, LEHO, FAIWMES) is a detail-oriented environmental health officer with years of experience. Committed to ensuring public health and safety as well as sustainability and environmental preservation. Expert in environmental and social impact assessments, environmental permitting, corporate sustainability and climate change, remediation management, impact mitigation monitoring, stakeholders engagement plan, resettlement action planning and implementation, regulatory compliance monitoring, sustainability solutions, strategic environment assessments, environmental auditing, community development planning, management systems and compliance, carbon accounting services, health impact assessments, climate change mitigation and adaptation, oil spills clean up and remediation, environmental protection and rehabilitation plan, socio-economic impact assessments, environmental and social due diligence, leaning and change implementation, emissions control, and respiratory protection; familiarity with a variety of other environmental health issues, such as carbon and energy due diligence, geographic information system, environmental due diligence, ecological assessments, biodiversity studies, pest control, water protection, and waste disposal. Sanitarian Raimi Morufu Olalekan received his Ph.D and M.Phil in Environmental Health Science from Kwara State University in August 2018 and MSc in Environmental Health Management from the University of Uyo in March 2017, Diploma in Environmental Health from Public Health Training Institute and BSc in Geography and Environmental Management from Niger Delta University.

He has taught classes at the Niger Delta University (department of community medicine), University of Maiduguri (department of geography), University of Uyo (center for wetlands and waste management studies) and Kwara State University (department of environmental health). Raimi Morufu Olalekan is the author or co-author of more than 100 scientific publications and expert papers in American, European and Asian journal to his credit, 20 research projects under way including cumulative impact assessment of air quality and assessment of digital debris management in health Institutions in South-South, Nigeria.

Raimi Morufu Olalekan is currently the Technical adviser to the Executive Secretary, Bayelsa State Primary Health Care Board. His current research interests focus on environmental epidemiology, pollution control management, hydrogeochemistry, groundwater pollution, groundwater quality, health risk assessment, water and gender, chemicals & health, environmental public health policy & practice, environmental justice & health equity, physical activity & environment, noise & health, building health & resilient communities, children’s environmental health, emerging fields in environmental health, energy systems & policy, food & the environment, nature & human health, clean air, water & soil, climate change & human health, health impact assessment, water pollution and management, environmental impact assessment, waste management, institutional capacity building, policy and governance issues, environmental management, risk and vulnerability assessment, hazard mitigation, and resilience building. His taught courses include: Anthropogenic climate, Introduction to Environmental Health, Waste Management, Environmental Air Pollution and Human Health, Environmental Land Pollution and Human Health, Demography, Disaster Management, The Socio-Economic Environment, Biological and Physical Environment etc.
Olalekan has served as a keynote speaker in many International and Local Conferences and has attended a number of certified educational seminars, participants of numerous symposiums in Nigeria and abroad. He has successfully supervised more than (5) Master degrees’ candidates and currently supervising a number of Master degree candidates.
